Setup Guide & Keyboard Shortcuts

Step-by-step setup adhering to Strict Permission Scope (§13) with complete keyboard shortcuts and Copy Cache guide.

1. macOS Permission Setup

KeyXamathi strictly adheres to our Strict Permission Scope (§13). We request only Accessibility permission and never request Input Monitoring separately, providing maximum privacy and peace of mind.

Enable Accessibility Permission

This allows KeyXamathi to instantly switch language layouts (0ms) and automatically correct wrong-layout text.

Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and turn on KeyXamathi.

Why is Input Monitoring NOT required?

Accessibility permission fully covers native Event Tap operations. We guard all event listeners behind Accessibility verification, preventing macOS from triggering redundant Input Monitoring permission prompts.

2. Essential Typing Shortcuts

You can use either Ctrl (⌃) or Fn (fn) together with Shift (⇧):

Undo / Redo Auto-Correction
Revert any recent correction back and forth. You can also press Backspace immediately after correction to undo instantly.

Cycle Word Language
Manually cycle the current word between Thai ↔ English ↔ Lao when automatic correction did not trigger.

Accept Proactive Suggestion
Accept a proactive language switch suggestion banner while typing long sentences.

Add to Whitelist & Revert
Memorize a specialized word into your personal vocabulary and immediately restore original characters.

3. Copy Cache & Pinned Snippets (Opt-In Feature)

Optional productivity suite running strictly in RAM with 100% privacy guarantees:

Open the floating search and paste window with instant layout alternative translation.

Direct Pinned Snippets 1–3
Instantly paste pinned snippets 1, 2, or 3 with dedicated shortcuts without opening any UI.

Quick Paste Window Shortcuts:

  • ⌘1 to ⌘9 — Paste original clipboard item 1–9 directly
  • ⌥1 to ⌥9 — Paste layout-converted alternative (e.g. paste 'กิน' for 'dbo')
  • ⌘⌫ — Delete the top clipboard item
  • Esc — Dismiss the floating panel
